I am available to provide much of the day-to-day bookkeeping services involved with a small business, no matter the industry. Free yourself and your staff from this work and focus on serving your customers. Virtual Bookkeeping requires your business to be set up with an online, cloud-based bookkeeping service, such as QuickBooks Online or Xero. Send PDFs, scans or photos of your receipts/documents by email or MMS and I’ll enter everything into your books for you.

- Reconciling accounts/statements. Keeping this maintained means when it’s time for your CPA to start preparing your business taxes, everything’s ready for them.
- Categorizing transactions. Snap a clear photo of each of your receipts and send it to 971-801-2160 or email to ben@bar9consulting.com. Forward me emailed receipts for items purchased online. I’ll make sure it all matches up in your online books.
- Accounts Payable. Entering and scheduling bill payments.
- Accounts Receivable & Invoicing. Whether your customers’ payments are due upon receipt or on net 90 terms, or anything in between, I can help you stay on top of it.

I have over two decades of experience working in all kinds of coffee business settings, from temporary/outdoor event setups to cafes with roasting operations and online sales. How can I help your coffee business idea come to life? I have experience with many aspects of the industry, including:
- Barista staff training. I have always believed that anyone can learn how to make a great coffee or espresso drink. For me, it’s all about understanding and controlling different variables to consistently produce delicious results.
- Food and Beverage Menu Design. Overhaul your drink and food offerings while sourcing quality, local ingredients in your operations. You might be amazed how much you can lower costs and improve quality, for example, by making your own syrups.
- Optimizing workflow for new buildouts or renovations. There are many items behind the bar, from grinders and espresso machines to sinks and POS terminals. How these items are placed can dramatically impact your baristas’ workflow from order to delivery.
- Costing and Pricing. Knowing the costs of your raw materials helps with pricing the products they are turned into. Other things to consider would be the market price of comparable menu items, which is research I can assist with.
- Merchandise Design, including drinkware, gift cards and apparel.
- Coffee Roasting operations, including green coffee importing, storage, inventory, roasting, tasting, blending, packaging. This is a great opportunity for established cafes who have built a unique image with their customers to lower costs and increase sales through retail coffee.
